Create more incentives to foreign investment to dynamise the national economy and most importantly promote the private sector participation in managing and financing the infrastructure,

Develop capacity building of port infrastructure through the creation of a new-generation port,

Creation of logistics activity areas ensuring integrated transport services,

Materialising the national job creation programme

Within this framework, the Ministry of Transport plans to call for private and qualified entrepreneur or group of entrepreneurs for the construction, funding and exploitation of a deep water port at Enfidha on the Tunisian Central East coast at 100 Km to the south of the capital Tunis and this would be in the form of a concession.

This project will help Tunisia acquire an infrastructure capacity in order to meet the country’s external trade progress and participate in tran-shipment traffic which is rapidly developing in the Mediterranean.

The achievement of this project is integrated within an economic development scope including a modern transport infrastructure and an area of economic  and logistics activities aiming at promoting trade activities, industry and services with foreign countries
